Zorii Bliss is a supporting character in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. She a human native to the frigid planet Kijimi. She shared a past connection with Poe Dameron, as they were once both spice runners until Poe left to join the Resistance.

She was portrayed by Keri Russell.

What Makes Her A Scrappy?

• Many fans quickly disliked the character out of feeling she only existed to give Poe Dameron a love interest at the last minute to avert making the Fan-Prefered Poe/Finn ship from happening and thus has lead to some accusations she was only written to avert making Poe look like gay or chaste (especially the former) (as he actually was at first).
• She's also disliked for providing and forming part of a rather divisive backstory for Poe of being a Spice Runner during his youth, which many feel it doesn't add anything to the character beyond him being familiar with a droidsmith and contradicting previous information known about the character and also makes Poe way too similar to Han Solo.
• Her whole dialogue is exposition both about the current situation and her past from Poe, averting her from forming her own personality and she mostly just serves as the character that can lead them to Babu Frik.
• She was advertised as a badass outlaw which lead to a lot of viewers to be disappointed that her single action sequence in the whole movie has her easily defeated by Rey (justified she had her gun on Poe and Rey took her by surprise).
• Her survival was only added because Steven Spielberg was upset the original cut implied the death of Babu Frik.
• Despite being made only to give Poe a love interest, the character's relationship was left open ended at the end of the movie which lead some viewers feel she was a pointless addition.
• She's seen as a waste of Keri Russell's talents who did a good job but hardly had any material to work with.
• In the comic Free Fall, she can come up as a rather toxic presence for Poe, being disrespectful towards his father, acting entitled and controlling towards Poe, and threatens to kill him if he leaves the Spice Runners of Kijimi, mocks Poe for being emotional and a romantic plus punching him more that a couple of times, Is no wonder he didn't want to join her at the end of the story not to mention also make viewers even less interested in the two getting together.
