Vincent Afton is a major character in the FNAF fan-comic BlueyCapsules.
He is the twin brother of William Afton, the uncle of Michael, Elizabeth, and CC, and the husband of Scott Afton. After William’s crimes are discovered by Henry, William convinces Vincent and Scott to help him hide.
What Makes Him a Scrappy[]
- Throughout the comic, he is almost entirely a Jewish stereotype. This includes stealing and hoarding money, talking in a New Yorker accent, and even his design is based on Adam Sandler only because he is Jewish. There was also a future plot line where Vincent became president, referencing the stereotype that Jewish people run the world. He remains this way even after people asked for him to rail away from it.
- He doesn’t have much personality, especially compared to the other characters, with his main character trait being extremely happy or laidback, which is shared with other characters.
- His Volume 1 design and personality were based on the character from Rebornica's AU of the same name, which aged poorly due to the controversy surrounding that exact character.
- His redesign was also criticized since the character from Rebornica is canonically African-American, yet Vincent was made white.
- He and Scott have a famously controversial scene where they flirt and touch each other furiously during Charlie’s funeral. This was especially disliked after it was revealed that the creator of the comic was fetishizing its gay characters.
Trivia[]
- Vincent is an ironic version of a Scrappy, in that during the comic’s run, he was treated as an Ensemble Dark Horse by readers. It wasn’t until the comic was nearing cancellation that people started to take issue with Vincent, with many of BC's remaining fans turning their back on Vincent nowadays.
