Ume Shiraume

Ume Shiraume is a supporting character from Ben-To. She is the student council president and class representative of Yo Sato's school and class respectively, and Hana Oshiroi's best friend.

In Japanese, she was voiced by Ai Kayano, while voiced by Tia Ballard in English.

What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]

First and foremost, she is very clingy and obsessed with Hana Oshiroi, to the point of even kidnapping and attempted to rape her. Which make her very creepy.
She constantly abuses Yo Sato for getting close with Hana (even though its Hana who gets close to him for Yaoi inspiration) and for very petty reasons, or in some cases, no reason at all. Which many fans find annoying.
- Even when Yo tells her the truth on Oshiroi's Yaoi obsession, she doesn't believe him and attacks him.
It's also implied that she is heavily attracted not only to Oshiroi, but other girls, in a very lustful and creepy way.
- She LITERALLY dragged Ayame Shaga to her house and began to not only strip her but nearly took a bath with her in a VERY lecherous way.
In the second episode, she began to strip Sato to find his phone to see if he contacted Oshiroi.
Throughout the anime, she is not only portrayed as a Mary Sue, but a Karen, and a Karma Houdini as well.
Even people who at least liked or enjoyed the anime to an extent, mostly find her to be the biggest disappointment.

Trivia[]

She shares many similarities with Miharu Shimizu from Baka and Test and Yamai Ren from Komi Can't Communicate. (Both of which are also fellow scrappies).
