Tina Williams is one of the main supporting characters of the 1989 horror film, Halloween 5: The Curse of Michael Myers, the fifth sequel in the Halloween franchise.
She was portrayed by Wendy Kaplan.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- After Rachel is killed by Michael Myers thirty minutes in, Tina and her friends replace Rachel as the main characters. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for both Tina's obnoxious personality and the fact that Ellie Cornell, Rachel's actor, had top billing and her death thirty minutes in felt like a cop out.
- Due to most of Halloween 5's runtime being time filler, almost half of the movie is Tina time attempting to be fun and quirky but annoying the audience instead.
- Tina kisses Michael Myers who was wearing Tina's boyfriend's ridiculous looking mask.
- When Tina is brought to the children's clinic by the police, she ignores Jamie's warnings that Michael is going to murder both her and her friends.
- Ignores Dr. Loomis's warnings about Michael. She even replies that she's never sensible if she can help it.
- While Wendy Kaplan admitted she intended for Tina to be the fun loving party girl, Tina's overall obliviousness and obnoxious personality made her unlikeable in the eyes of the audience.
Trivia[]
- Despite being a Scrappy, Tina's death received mixed reactions from the audience. Half the audience thought her death was heartbreaking due to Tina sacrificing herself to save Jamie while the other half of the audience cheered that Tina was finally dead.
