Suzuhiko Ootsuki is the secondary antagonist of the Danganronpa: Togami novel trilogy.

He is the former Ultimate Hitman who is hired by the Togami Corporation to assassinate Byakuya Togami after Ultimate Despair frames him for terrorism. It is later revealed that he is actually the second personality of Byakuya's older half-brother, Suzuhiko Togami, as well as one of the candidates for the Togami family heir.

What Makes Him a Scrappy?

• He is essentially a copy of Genocide Jack from the same franchise, as he is the murderous split personality of a timid character, is determined to find Byakuya, and has a preference for one kind of weapon. However, he doesn’t have any of the depth or entertaining traits that made Genocide Jack a popular character and is instead just evil for the sake of being evil.
• His scenes are drawn out when he appears and he often makes an appearance in scenes where he doesn’t need to be in, which winds up stealing the spotlight away from Byakuya and his allies, the characters fans wanted to see in the novels.
  • This is especially true in the second volume where he is suddenly revealed to be a Togami simply so he can be in the story.
• He does a variety of evil and heinous things such as murdering children, massacring a village, and is implicitly mentioned to have sexually assaulted his younger sister at some point, all actions come up out of nowhere and are brought up so suddenly that they come off as attempts to be edgy rather than plot points.

Trivia

• He is the only Danganronpa Scrappy to have technically survived a killing game, that being the Crown Tournament in volume 2.
• He notably shares similar problems with the rest of Byakuya's siblings in DRT, such as being a copy of a character in the games, although Suzuhiko appears the most out of them.
• Ironically, his main personality is not a Scrappy due to being one of the few Togami siblings who isn’t arrogant or flat.
