Sparky is a major character in The Fairly Oddparents. He is Timmy Turner's pet Fairy Dog.
He was voiced by Maddie Taylor.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- For one, his background violates basic continuity. Some of his owners were adults, even though it's been established that only children can have fairies.
- He was clearly put in the show to just boost ratings.
- While he didn't stole Timmy's spotlight, he, alongside Mr. Turner and Crocker (while both still current creator's pet of this series) still stole the others spotlight (i.e. Timmy's friends)
- In his first episode, he's shown causing destruction around Dimmsdale, thanks to his stupidity and carelessness.
- The character is considered unnecessary, and somewhat redundant, as his character of being idiotic and careless is already taken up by Cosmo.
- At one point, he almost gets Timmy killed by stealing a parachute and jumping off his plane, leaving Timmy to crash. This is even worse when you consider that Fairy Dogs cannot die.
- Most viewers find his voice to be grating.
- He was poorly received, so much that Nickelodeon entirely removed him from the 10th season of the show, as confirmed by his voice actress.
