Snips and Snails are two recurring characters in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. They appear on every season of the animated series and are dimwitted ponies that cause trouble among everypony.
Snips is voiced by Lee Tockar and Snails is voiced by Richard Ian Cox.
What Makes Them Both Scrappies?[]
- They're both annoying and dimwitted, which is worsened by the fact that they were among the first male ponies with a prominent role, which made them seem stereotypical and insulting to the audience.
- In "Boast Busters" the two decided to bring an Ursa Minor to Ponyville so that Trixie can defeat it. Trixie was unable to defeat the Ursa Minor, so Twilight had to finish the job for her.
- Their actions caused Trixie to receive the wrong retribution and have her blamed for her boastful attitude while they both get lightly punished for their actions, despite bringing the Ursa Minor in the first place.
- Luckily in "Magic Duel", they are given retribution for their wrongdoings they caused Trixie, such as when she treats them both as her slaves when she is controlled by the Alicorn Amulet.
Trivia[]
- Their creator, Lauren Faust, had also created Bendy, a Scrappy antagonist from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends who is similarly mischievous in an annoying way.
- So far, they are the only My Little Pony characters to be considered Scrappies on this wiki.
