Sergio is a supporting character in The Loud House franchise. He's a minor character in The Loud House, and a main character in The Casagrandes.
He's the Casagrandes' beloved pet parrot, and despite being a bird, he's proved to be a lot smarter than your average animal, being able to use an extensive, human-like vocabulary, doing chores, and host and/or go to parties with his bird friends.
He's voiced by Carlos Alazraqui.
What Makes Him a Scrappy[]
- Most fans feel he's a massive jerk to everyone in his family, and rarely shows any compassion or care for them. Especially to Bobby, who seems to be his favorite target to pick on.
- Since most of the conflicts in his episodes seem to be either directly or indirectly caused by him, and he rarely faces any consequences for most of them, the viewers feel like he’s too annoying to be funny.
- He often acts as an enabler for Carl's bad behavior, either by going along with his plans, or even instigating his mischievous actions. This makes the criticisms towards Carl partially an extension of Sergio’s.
- His party animal tendencies can be seen as very annoying and tiresome.
- The show often tries to make the audience sympathize with him, even though his actions make it incredibly hard to do so.
- For example, in the episode This Bird Has Flown, the audience is supposed to side with Sergio when he pranks Bobby into thinking he left the house because he wished he was gone. However, throughout most of the episode, he's been picking on Bobby and generally getting on his nerves, and he's never called out for this by anyone, making it incredibly hard to sympathize with him, let alone root against Bobby who did nothing wrong throughout the episode. Due to this, most viewers agree that Bobby’s anger was justified.
- Most of his focus-episodes are considered either annoying or just incredibly dull.
- Fans consider that he steals the spotlight from characters who need more development than him, like Lalo, Carlitos, Nikki, Casey and Sameer, or even the Casagrandes' neighbors, making him a Spotlight-Stealing Squad.
- In fact, he somehow got an episode entirely focused on him in the main show over characters that the fans like and think need more screen-time, like Sid and her family.
Trivia[]
- Out of all The Loud House scrappies, he has easily the most appearances if we count the spin-off.
- He is also the only one to be an animal.
