Rose Wilfred, formerly known as Rosalina, is a major character in the YouTube series SuperMarioLogan, currently known as SML. She is the wife of Marvin (formerly known as Mario) and the adopted mother of Jeffy.
She is voiced by Elaina Keyes who also plays Karen, Susie Huckerdoo, Suzanne Huckerdoo, and Penelope Guy in the same series.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- Rose's voice is infamously annoying to many fans of the series. This is to an extent that characters in the show, mainly Brooklyn Guy, frequently point this out.
- Even when Jeffy is in the wrong, Rose almost always takes his side by usually saying he is "being creative." Unsurprisingly, this comes off as infuriating to the audience. There have even been instances where Rose will encourage Jeffy's bad behaviour.
- While Rose was received well early on in SML, she quickly went downhill after Jeffy was introduced primarily due to the above reasons.
- Despite being one of the main characters of the show, she feels more like a background character with how she is almost always unimportant to the plot, as she almost always just sits on the couch and reacts to what happens.
- She is infamously an extremely toxic wife to Marvin, with her sometimes yelling, or even beating Marvin, even if he doesn't do anything wrong. She even seems to take great pleasure in watching or getting Marvin abused, such as how she purposely caused Goodman to abuse him and showed no care that he sexually harassed her husband! She even purposely screamed in Marvin's ear at one point just to get him deaf, and showed no concern or belief when Marvin told her Suzanne was sexually harassing him in 'Marvin The Pool Boy.'
- She is also infamous for her hypocrisy, as she is usually seen talking, or even flirting, with other men that're usually her ex-boyfriends and gets mad when Marvin talks with other girls. Marvin himself even calls her out on this in 'Mr. Goodman's Revenge'.
- She (along with Jeffy) often get Marvin in trouble. For example, in 'Jeffy's Bad Word', she completely sides with Jeffy and calls Marvin a 'child beater' despite the fact Marvin spanking Jeffy was fully justified.
- In 'The Hair Problem', she suddenly likes Marvin even more because of his new hair, which is almost identical to when Peach did the same thing years prior in 'Mario's Wig.'
- For reasons unknown, she beat up ShitAss just to get him paralyzed, which makes her come off as incompetent and delusional for thinking it's the right way to prevent him from escaping.
- In "Luis The Babysitter!" she orders the two most expensive items on the menu at Frankie's, forcing Marvin to order the cheapest thing for himself, and lets Brooklyn T. Guy harass him.
- She's a very incompetent punching bag. Though it is deserving with how unlikable she is as a character, and she fails to stand up to the abuse and torment from others.
- Logan is very much aware that she's hated amongst the fanbase, to the point where other characters will express their hatred of her. Despite that, Logan has never once attempted to try and change that aspect and try to make her a likable character, something that is unfortunately all too common with the SML cast.
- Overall, Rose is a widely hated character amongst SML fans, and is considered one of the worst characters in the channel's history.
Trivia[]
- She is the second version of Rosalina to be a scrappy, right after Baby Rosalina.
- She is the only member of the main SML cast to be a scrappy, as everyone else is base-breaking at best.
