~ Nothing, because he never speaks. |
Rhinox is a supporting character featured in the 2023 film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the seventh installment of Paramount Pictures’ Transformers film series and the second chronologically.
He is a member of the Maximals who transforms into a rhinoceros.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- He has been stripped of all his personality and is essentially a background character.
- While the same could be said for Cheetor, he at least got to speak. Rhinox is completely silent.
- His design is a significant downgrade. His green accents are gone and his entire body is instead an ugly shade of grey. He also lacks the teeth on his chest that he used to have.
- Not that is matters in the long run, as it's nearly impossible to make his robot mode out in the final battle.
- Unlike in Beast Wars, where he's shown to be incredibly smart, he has no intelligent qualities and is instead mindless cannon fodder.
- He never uses his iconic gatling gins, instead opting for a sledge hammer.
- He serves no purpose other than shameless trailer bait for Beast Wars fans.
- Overall, he was another victim of the RotB's overstuffed robot cast, and is possibly it's most egregious one at that.
Trivia[]
- Originally, Rhinox would have had more scenes, but they were cut. Had they been kept, it's possible he wouldn't have been a Scrappy.
- If he reappears in a future sequel and has more lines, he may end up being an Base-Breaking character or possible an Ensemble Dark Horse.
