Honest, also known as Prime Minister Honest, the Prime Minister and the First Minister, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Esdeath) of the manga/anime series Akame Ga Kill!.
He is the Prime Minister of the Empire and the one truly in control, as he manipulates the Emperor for his own ends by exploiting his innocence, spreading misery, hunger, corruption and poverty throughout the land for no other reason than sadistic pleasure.
He was voiced by Kōji Ishii in Japanese and by Marty Fleck in the English dub.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- He was meant to be hated for being evil, but instead, he is hated for both being too over the top to be taken seriously, and for taking up screen time from other, more popular characters (like his second in command Esdeath, one of the most popular characters in the series).
- His personality comes off as rather bland and uninteresting, as he is just your typical corrupt minister that is evil for the sake of being evil, not to mention he has no backstory of reasons for being evil.
- His design is ugly and uncanny, as he looks like a One Piece rejected character.
- The series initially tries to give him some level of depth with him seemingly loving his son Syura and mourning his death when he dies...only for him to immediately brush it off on the next panel. While he would not have that much depth regardless, the execution of the scene where he goes "Oh, well" is still considered laughably bad by many.

- He is the current icon of the Mature template with him doing his evil grin as if he managed to disturb the crap out of children.
- He is one of the Akame ga Kill! characters who counts as a Scrappy, along with General Budo and Merraid Oarburgh. While Seryu Ubiquitous, being a base-breaking character has some of the Fanbase.
