Perpetua is a major character in the crisis saga of DC Comics, serving as one of the overarching antagonists of Crisis on Infinite Earths (alongside Empty Hand and The Great Darkness).
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- She was intended to be seen as a powerful and intimidating villain, however, instead came off as boring and generic, not to mention many lore regarding her was extremely inconsistent with prior established lore things
- As mentioned prior, her powers are inconsistent, and whilst it is a common thread among comic characters, she mainly only appears in one major arc rather than as a recurring character such as Superman, thus it is another flaw with her character rather than a consequence of Depending on the Writer.
- What makes it worse is that she was defeated rather easily by the Darkest Knight/Batman Who Laughs and she lacked the feats to back up the power level that she was hyped up to have.
- She is an extremely flat character and is just essentially yet another "Hegemonical Ultimate Evil" character with little to no unique traits or personality about her and thus is extremely 1 dimensional as a result.
- Her impact was also greatly lessened by Multiversity and Dark Crisis, which essentially just showed that she was an easily retconnable character rather than how important she was intended to be.
