Nurari

Nurari is a minor antagonist in the anime Naruto: Shippūden, serving as the major antagonist of the Three-Tails' Appearance filler arc. He is a member of Guren's team aiming to capture the Three-Tailed Beast.

He is voiced by Kentarō Tone in the Japanese version and by Ezra Weisz in the English version.

What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]

Nunari's character design is absolutely awful for a number of reasons:
- His blue stamp suit only covers his face, making him look like a cheap Mega Man knockoff.
- Even though he is a man, his figure is more feminine and he has dark green lipstick and pink hair sticking out which may lead to a gender confusion.
- When Nunari transforms his body into different shapes, he looks very scary in a negative way.
- During the final fight with the Konoha shinobi, he transforms into his final form, which is not only nasty but also not very scary and boring.
Nurari as a character has such a poorly developed personality that he is difficult to tell about and not memorable.
Nurari's abilities, although very distinctive, such as flexibility, mucus generation or body transformation, do not make a huge impression and therefore do not feel threatening.
Nurari, like most Naruto filler villains, dominates the protagonists only to be defeated when the protagonists come up with a plan to defeat their opponent. This makes you feel no threat from Nunari.
Nunari is very weak in terms of the number of fights with Konoha shinobi. When Nunari, along with Kihõ and Kigiri, retreated after the first fight, he was easily bombarded with Tenten's tools after the second fight and in the last one he was crushed by the Three-Tailed Beast.
- To show how weak Nunari is, before the final battle with the Konoha shinobi, Nunari asks Kabuto for a cursed seal to strengthen him.
His death is weak like most of his character traits as he was crushed by the Three-Tailed Beast in the water and dismembered which makes no sense especially since he survived the cursed seal that almost killed him.
Generally speaking, there is one thing that makes the filler arc Three-Tails' Appearance criticized by some Naruto fans. Among the fans who defended this arc, they noted that Nunari was the weakest character compared to characters from this arc like Guren, Gozu, and Yūkimaru.
