Why it's me, Little Noddy.
~ Noddy in the the commercial he's in for Kellogg's Ricicles

Noddy is the main protagonist of the partially found series The Adventures of Noddy, made in the 1950s by the creator of the Noddy franchise itself, Enid Blyton. It is the first TV adaptation of the books.

He was voiced by Denise Bryer.

What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]

  • While he was originally liked when the series first aired, as seen with him even starring in a commercial for Kellogg's Ricicles, he became more hated as time went on.
  • The main criticism towards this iteration of the character is that his design is unintentionally creepy and ugly, as he looks far less like a puppet and more akin to that of a cadaver, having a demonic glow, a slit in one of his eyes, and an uncanny month.
    • It doesn't help that he even has a disembodied head.
  • He is shown to be very stupid at times, such as in "Noddy and the Moon", where he thought he could reach the moon and bring it down even though he can't for obvious reasons; even Mr. Plod calls Noddy out for his stupidity.
    • Another reason why he is rather stupid, it is because he lost his matches to light a candle so make himself a cup of coco and go into his bed, even though he can easily use a lantern has seen at the end of the episode.
  • Noddy also shows forgetfulness, as he went to the Tubby Bears house to borrow some matches, completely forgetting Mr. and Mrs. Tubby Bear had gone away to visit Mr. Teddy Tubby.
  • This iteration of Noddy also shows himself to be quite rude, as evident in "Noddy's Camera." When Angela Goldenhair told Noddy to wait for her to finish tying her shoes so he could take her picture, he takes it anyway and even laughs after she says she wasn't ready, remarking "I don't think that will matter much in that picture." Even though this was supposed to come off as comedic, it just made Noddy look like a jerk.
    • And to top it off, he didn't even take her picture. He instead took a picture of himself thinking that the back of the camera was the front, showing even more stupidity.
  • Overall, he is the most hated version of Noddy, being extremely ugly and creepy, extremely dumb at times, showing rudeness to his friends, and is just an unfunny and creepy character to watch.

Trivia[]

  • This is the only version of Noddy to be a Scrappy and the only Noddy character in general to be a Scrappy, has most other character in the franchise are well-liked.
