Narlene is a supporting character in SpongeBob SquarePants and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- Many fans feel the character gets too much exposure, mostly thanks to how other characters complement her despite all of the trouble she and her brother Nobby cause in the episodes they appear in. Not helping with this is how she was seemingly shoe-horned into a few episodes of the original series as a cheap marketing ploy to the spin-off series she originated from.
- Many feel that her actions, while meant to be comedic and endearing, are somewhat off-putting and creepy, one of these acts includes pretending to flash her breasts in front of a group of children.
- Several scenes in the show also give a close-up of her large feet for the sake of comedy, which fans found more disgusting than funny. In a particularly infamous episode, she puts her foot in soup, cuts her toenails in it, and then serves it to the children which is rather gross.
