Mitsuhiro Higa is a major antagonist of the Korean fangame, Danganronpa Another.

He is the Ultimate Soccer Player and one of the people abducted by Utsuro for the purpose of completing the Killing Game at Junko's orders. Higa winds up being the first killer of chapter one, killing Kyoka Maki.

What Makes Him a Scrappy?

• While he was meant to be a Hate Sink, his constant arrogance, abrasive behavior, and perverted/misogynistic attitude caused him to seem bland by audiences due not receiving any depth to his character besides that, to the point that he fails to come off as "Love To Hate".
• In Chapter 1, he attempts to sexually harass Akane, only for this to be dropped and never come up again, even from Akane.
• He killed the fan favorite character, Kyoka Maki, because Monokuma threatened to sabotage his fame, which was seen as a very weak motive.
• The sympathy he received following his death is seen as undeserved, since he was nothing but a jerk to his classmates and never had a kind moment with them, yet they mourn his death and call him a friend.
• Despite showing to be becoming a better person in the flashback as shown when he saved Maki twice from Monokuma, this is clearly not enough to make him being liked by the audience, considering we didn't see this side of him for too long and the majority of his appearance is just him being a jerk.
• Despite having many funny memes from the fanganronpa community and the Weeby Newz one, they are only here to mock him for being an uninteresting pathetic characters.

Trivia

• He is the only Danganronpa Scrappy who comes from a fan game.
• According to his character sheet, Higa has a loyal side, but only to people he considers friends. Had this been used in the game, it might’ve improved his reception.
  • Additionally, the character sheet also revealed that the developer themselves wished that they could’ve given Higa more depth, but were unable to due to how little he appeared in the game.
• Due to his negative reception, popular YouTuber Weeby Newz made many jokes about how idiotic he was, causing her fanbase begin to ship her with him as a joke, named it "Meeby", and went to the point an entire fanfic was written about it and even a DA mod was made.
