Melissa Duck is the deuteragonist of the 1953 Robert McKimson cartoon Muscle Tussle. She's Daffy Duck's girlfriend.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- She is an unattractive caricature of Veronica Lake, and an outdated one at that for the 1950s.
- She is immediately swooned by the muscular duck once she lays eyes on him, despite already being engaged to Daffy.
- She is unfaithful to Daffy, as she goes off with the muscular duck, though it's understandable as Daffy was being a coward.
- She actually believes that a "scrawny little nine-pound weakling" like Daffy can lift 5,000 pounds, when the muscular duck beats him in every other contest.
- She is the kind of toxic girl who would readily abandon her boyfriend simply because he refuses to pick a fight with a total stranger.
- This version of Melissa was never used in another Daffy Duck cartoon again, by Robert McKimson or any director.
