Darren Cross, formerly known as Yellowjacket and M.O.D.O.K., is the secondary antagonist of the 2023 film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

He is the former protégé, later temporary enemy, and ally of Hank Pym, Hope van Dyne, Cassie Lang, Janet van Dyne, and Scott Lang.

He was portrayed by Corey Stoll.

What Makes Him A Scrappy?[]

First off, fans despised the character's design, especially when M.O.D.O.K. removes his mask and shows off his bald head.
Fans also feel this version of M.O.D.O.K is a poor adaptation of the character with nothing like his comic book counterpart. Other than the design which is the only closest thing to the comic.
Even when he was Yellowjacket, people found him to be a rather uninteresting villain who's basically evil for no reason.
Fans believe he provides nothing really special besides being a goofy and incompetent right-hand and comic relief for Kang.
He is hated by the scene where Kang found him and he was shown to be completely naked.
Last but not least, fans hated the way he was redeemed. The only reason why he redeemed himself is because Cassie told him it's not too late to stop being a dick and he only redeemed himself because he no longer wants to be viewed as a dick, all of which fans found extremely pathetic and laughable. Fans also do not sympathize with his death scene and disliked how he proclaimed himself as an Avenger despite all of the despicable things he did in the past.
