Finally, the time has come for us to take the power of the Chaos Dragon!
~ King Oskar
Darios... How do you intend to clean up this mess you've made?
~ King Oskar

Oskar is a major antagonist from Fire Emblem Warriors. Oskar is the evil king of Grinstonne and the father of Darios. Oskar goal is the resurrect the Chaos Dragon Velezark and take over the world.

Oskar is voiced by DC Douglas.

What makes him a Scrappy?[]

  • Despite being the king of Grinstonne, the main antagonistic faction in the game. Oskar has very little presence in the story. All we get out of him is brief mentions from chapter to chapter. Is isn’t until Chapter 17 Royal Blood where Oskar finally appears in the flesh. Only in the very start of the next chapter 18 Chaos Dragon's Might he gets killed by the now possessed Darios. Making his inclusion in the story all the more baffling.
  • Much like with Garon Oskar is yet another evil conqueror archetype for the series. This time however he has nothing for him to stand out with the others such as Rudolf, Ashnard and Edelgard. He doesn’t have an interesting backstory, intriguing motivation, he is just the most generic uninspired evil king who only seeks power and world domination and nothing else.
  • Even though Oskar is a major antagonist in the game, you never get the chance to actually fight him in a boss battle. Because of his little involvement to the story, and when he does appear, he is disposed of rather quickly. Meaning there is no window of opportunity for a boss battle with Oskar. Thus you never get the satisfaction of fighting and beating this evil king.
  • Oskar is without the doubt one of the most pointless characters introduced in the game. All he ever did with his limited screen time is try to sacrifice Queen Yelena to the Chaos Dragon and command Darios. Despite these two instances of Oskar actually contributing to the story, both of them end up being pointless. Darios ends up turning on his father and the ritual was a bust. This means that if you remove Oskar out of the story then barely anything would changes. If your villain could be easily removed without the plot changing at all, that’s just a straight up failure of an antagonist right there.
