"Major Spoilers Ahead!" |
Keiko Morita is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Roxanne Ritchi) of the 2024 Peacock film Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate and its spin-off series Megamind Rules!, both of which are based off of the 2010 film Megamind.
She is a Japanese-American girl who is Megamind's biggest fan and the leader of the fan club named after him. She aspires to be a superhero like him.
She was voiced by Maya Aoki Tuttle.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- She is considered an unnecessary addition to the franchise due to being meant to appeal to younger audiences, with her referencing social media and memes being seen as annoying.
- She is a Mary Sue since she tend to always find solutions for problems in place of the protagonists. Her being to able to guess what's actually happening with startling accuracy is seen by viewers as the writers attempting to make her seem egotistically smart.
- The scene where she hits Chum with a bat, not recognizing him, was meant to come across as funny, but came off to viewers as Keiko being an idiot for not recognizing the giant robot.
- A criticism towards her is that her backstory isn’t elaborated on aside from her going to a prestigious school and idolizing Megamind.
- She receives little to no character development and remains the same for most of her appearances.
Trivia[]
- She is chronologically the first Megamind Scrappy to be an original character.
