What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- He spoils Quinn all the time, like when he gives her money (despite being married to a billionaire). What makes this worse that he was meant to be seen as a caring father to both Jake and Quinn, as shown when he genuinely appreciates him buying lunch after getting a bonus from Brian.
- It is revealed he gave Quinn their house when she turned 15 (in other words, when she was a teenager), which was, needlessly to say, a very foolish move.
- He always take Quinn's side and defends her no matter what she does, even when she does horrible stuff like when she kicks her family out of her wedding, had their initial new mansion torn down and built all over again (even though Jake, Brian, and their crew had been working on it for months), tears down their home to build a private spa, throws a tantum when Brian allowed the two of them to move into their new mansion, and even when she (albeit temporarily) got Jake fired after she ordered Walter to destroy his plans for the new City Hall for the Mayor.
- The reason he spoils Quinn because she was heartbroken after their mom died. But this excuse completely falls flat because all it did was made her into a complete spoiled brat, all the while making Jake fend for himself despite him too devastated at his mom's death. He adds that he didn't spoil both of them because Jake would be okay (which was true, but still doesn't excuse his actions) but his sister was "sensitive" and even stated that's what their mother would wanted, which would be completely wrong if she was still alive.
- He never suffers karma or change his ways in the end, unlike his daughter.
