“ | Not the first time that someone took a look at me and didn’t think I was worth shit. To be young, gifted and black, right? | „ |
~ Riri Williams. |
Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart, is the deuteragonist of the 2022 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and is set to appear as the main protagonist of the upcoming Disney+ series of the same name.
She is portrayed by Dominique Thorne.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?
- Overall, many fans believe that her presence in the film was very uninteresting, amounting to nothing but being a female version of Iron Man that was just there to assist the heroes, in addition to having a very annoying personality.
- She locked herself out of her own computer.
- She pathetically burned up all of her life's work a few minutes after Shuri and Okoye met her in her garage, completely contradicting her smart nature she was intended to have.
- Her first Iron Man armor was destroyed in a matter of seconds, and it was disliked by a few because it revealed too much of her body.
- Many fans believed her second Iron Man armor was a complete rip-off of the Power Rangers, and overall, it's not explored in depth as to how she is capable of building much better armors in seconds when Tony Stark had a whole movie struggling through it before finally succeeding.
Trivia
- Although she is a Scrappy right now, this is subject to change in her titular Disney+ series since there is a chance she will get enough of a fanbase. Although, it's worth noting her show's trailer has 300K dislikes over 100K likes. Considering her show became subject to heavy review bombings over extremely bigoted and racist reasons before the show even released, so much that Rotten Tomatoes removed them.
