What Makes Him a Scrappy?

• Is a creepy perverted fanfic writer who was meant to be funny, but ultimately fails.
• His design looks pretty uncanny, as he looks more like a guinea pig instead of an actual human.
• His voice can be annoying at times especially when he screams.
• When he met Alter Ego he wanted to keep him for himself not listening to Kyoko who told them to not take Alter Ego for themselves.
• He was easily manipulated by Celestia Ludenberg into killing Kiyotaka Ishimaru and not asking any questions about her lie that she said about Taka.

• To really show how despised Hifumi is, a 2017 popularity poll in Reddit had Hifumi Yamada in last place even below the Big Bads such as Tsumugi Shirogane and Junko Enoshima and Hate Sinks such as Monaca Towa which clearly shows how much Hifumi Yamada is hated, disliked and despised by the Danganronpa Fandom.
• Ironically, Hifumi was predicted by the creators of Danganronpa to be liked by the fandom for his comedic antics while Ishimaru was expected to be a Scrappy due to being annoying. This turned out to be reversed, with Hifumi being a Scrappy while Ishimaru was beloved by the fandom.
