Hermann Freisinger is the main antagonist of Call of Duty: Vanguard. After the death of Adolf Hitler, Freisinger seeks to recreate the Nazi Party through Project Phoenix and rebuilt a new reich called the Fourth Reich with himself as leader.

He is voiced by Dan Donohue.

What Makes Him a Scrappy?

• He is a very typical and bog-standard Nazi character, who fails to do anything interesting or unique in the story.
• Freisinger is an extremely flat character as he does not explain much of Project Phoenix besides its goal of resurrecting the Nazi Party and his personality being of what you expect from Nazi but nothing noteworthy about him other than being a traitor.
• He does not provide much to the story as he just sits around in his office doing nothing and pointlessly interrogating the Vanguard group even though he got nothing useful out of them. In a way, he is just a basic antagonistic plot device for the Vanguard group to fight against.
