Happy Rabbit is a character from the 1930s Looney Tunes shorts. He is voiced by Mel Blanc.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- He is an incredibly ugly incarnation of Bugs Bunny with an uncanny apricot colored muzzle and weird voice.
- He exists for no other reason than to drive his victims insane. One example of this being "Elmer's Candid Camera" where he harasses Elmer Fudd who only wanted to takes pictures of wildlife. The short ends with him rescuing Elmer Fudd when he drowns in the lake, only to kick him back in.
- He shares his laugh with Woody Woodpecker, an equally aggravating character who was also voiced by Mel Blanc.
- It's not hard to see why he only appeared in four shorts from the 30s, and Bugs was redesigned with a new voice in Tex Avery's "A Wild Hare".
