Gregory "Greg" Heffley is the titular main protagonist of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul movie. He is the middle child of Frank and Susan Heffley, the younger brother of Rodrick Heffley and the older brother of Manny Heffley.
He was portrayed by Jason Drucker.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
This version is way less funny and relatable than Zachary Gordon's portrayal of Greg and comes off as unnecessarily cowardly.
His attempts at being funny ultimately fail, like the rest of the cast.
In the original films, the conflicts were instigated by his jerkish attitude. That doesn't come across in this movie, and it instead feels like he's just incredibly unlucky.
His reaction to finding a diaper on his hand is completely over the top. Furthermore, it only exists to spawn the in-universe meme Diaper Hands, which is considered vulgar and dated.
He is a fan of an early 2010's style YouTube gamer, which is a pathetic attempt to make the movie relevant to young audiences.
His hair is too straight to match what it is supposed to be, which is supposed to be spiky on the top.
Though he doesn't get as much hate as Rodrick, he still counts as his view on the entire family as worse than their original versions in both the books and the first three movies.
