Greg Banks is the main protagonist of the Say Cheese and Die duology of the book series, Goosebumps.
He is a young boy who discovers an evil camera with his friends and ends up suffering the consequences of it.
He was portrayed by Ryan Gosling and Patrick Thomas in the TV adaptation.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- While he started out as a likable character in the first SCAD book, he derails in the sequel where, despite almost getting his friends killed because of it, he goes out of his way to get the camera back and use it so he can prove he wasn’t lying and save his grade in school. Predictably, this leads to him and Shari almost dying, yet he still brings the camera to school.
- In relation to the point above, he chose to write an entire essay about the camera, yet doesn’t consider that his teacher won’t believe it and is surprised when he gets a bad grade.
- In the end of the second book, he indirectly causes a downer ending where his teacher uses the camera to take a class picture, unknowingly endangering the class, although this was changed in the television adaptation.

- He and Evan Ross are the only Goosebumps Scrappies to have two appearances in the TV adaptation.
