Mal finds the infobox on this page admirable, as its pretty dead, as evidenced by how many, if not all sections, in it are as empty as his heart and the land he rules. Next thing you know, he might rule over it. Prevent this from happening by updating and expanding the infobox. ![]() |
NOTE: This article specifically covers Ken Pender's representation of Geoffrey St. John, as his representation from writers such as Karl Bollers and Ian Flynn are base-breaking, and Ken Penders still uses the character in his Lara-Su Chronciles comics. |
Geoffrey St. John is a major character from the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics, as well as the series The Lara-Su Chronicles.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- Geoffrey was a character that was originally introduced in the comics as an additional member to the Freedom Fighters, acting as a sort of love rival to Sally Acorn with Sonic. When greater focus was put on Sonic's romantic relationship with Sally, much to the chagrin of many fans, Geoffrey is portrayed as being more and more perverse, to the point where he comes off as a villain to some.
- Penders had a sort of favortism towards Geoffrey, as during these love triangles between the characters, Penders would often make Sonic appear as a jerk.
- In the story "Endgame", the love triangle creates such a wedge between the two characters that Geoffrey isn't even willing to listen to Sonic when he tries to convince him that he didn't kill Sally, with a reasonable arguement no less.
- Many fans of the comics also feel that Geoffrey's rivalry with Sonic makes no sense, considering that Sonic has shown no real dislike towards him prior, and that he seemingly ignores that Sonic has on many occasions saved the kingdom from Robotnik.
- Ken Penders, the creator of the character, had infamously stated in a Twitter post that it was intended for Geoffrey to take Sally's virginity, despite both characters' significant age gap, Geoffrey being in his 20s, and Sally being 16 years old.
