Faron is a supporting character in the 2011 action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. She is one of the three dragons and a servant of Hylia, tasked with guarding the Faron province and protecting Farore's Flame.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- Many players found her unlikable due to her aloof and condescending attitude, compounded by the tedious nature of her tasks.
- Faron's initial task involves returning to the Skyview Temple to retrieve sacred water to heal her wounds. The quest was met with disappointment by players due to the minimal changes made to the layout and enemies, which made the return feel somewhat redundant.
- Only upon completing this task does Faron recognize Link's accomplishments, despite him braving several dungeons across the surface and completing the Silent Realm trial within her domain.
- During the Song of the Hero questline, Faron floods the woods in response to the growing presence of monsters, stranding its Kikwi inhabitants on lily pads and logs. Some players viewed her decision as reckless and extreme, as she showed little concern or regard for the environment and its population.
- Additionally, her actions seem ineffective, as evidenced by the presence of aquatic enemies such as Blue Chuchus and Craniocs.
- Upon discovering Link's intentions, Faron agrees to teach him her portion of the song only after he collects Tadtones scattered across the underwater forest. Many players considered her test tedious and inconsistent with her original motive.
- Unlike Lanayru, who was more positively received due to his personable demeanor and minigames, Faron exhibits minimal character development, and her role remains largely confined to the main quest.
Trivia[]
- She and Navi are so far the only The Legend of Zelda Scrappies to be female.
