He's just seen as a generic jock that's completely uninteresting and feels out of place in the setting of the series (a jock in the ice age).
His major purpose in the plot is being a false romantic lead for Peaches and just acts as a teenager stereotype. He's easily the least popular of the three romantic leads for Peaches.

Many fans who were interested in seeing a follow-up of the mammoth tribe from the second movie were dissapointed that the next non-herd mammoths we see in the series were simply teenager stereotypes rather that something more interesting,
Despite being a blantant jerk jock for most of his screentime and wanting to gatekeep Louis from the group, he's easily forgiven for Peaches and Louis and still hang out with him.
He's voiced by Drake which some saw as an attempt from the franchise to remain relevant.
