Daphne Blake is one of two deuteragonists (alongside Norville) of the 2023 HBO Max series Velma.
She was voiced by Constance Wu.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- Just like Velma, she makes self-aware jokes that are meant to be funny but come off as annoying and unfunny.
- Just like other characters in the series, her design looks like a Happy Meal toy.
- The way she handles Velma's panic attacks are stupidly unrealistic and seen as offensive, as she just kisses Velma and all of a sudden, she just snaps out of it.
- Her nude scene is considering to be off putting since she is fifteen.
- She is an unlikable person, as she betrays Velma (who isn't better in anyway whatsoever) just so she could look cool to her new friends,
- She abuses her parents' position as cops to get what she wants.
- She constantly stabs or threatens to stab people.
- Unlike her other versions, she is just not likable at all.
