Creeper is the secondary antagonist of The Black Cauldron. He is a goblin who used to serve as the Horned King's right-hand.
He was voiced by Phil Fondacaro.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- For some reason he is the Horned King's right-hand man, which makes no sense because he is so incompetent.
- When he happily flees after the death of the Horned King, it's not satisfying because there's no indication that he hates him, so the scene comes across as forced.
- He is completely unnecessary because he hardly does anything in the movie, and the movie already has Gurgi, who is practically the same as him, but in his case, at least it is clear why small children would like him, while the Creeper is ugly and works for the villain, so children will not like him. All this just begs the question on why is he in the movie at all.
- He's also a lot worse when he tried to have Hen Wen killed twice for not spilling out the location of the Black Cauldron which is animal cruelty. It is also said that he decided to disrespect his own master's death while mourning at first only to celebrate it heartlessly and cheered for it which is pure sadism. It is said that even in his cowardice, what he was going to say was even more sadistic when he actually did plan on killing the Horned King before having second thoughts.
- He is very narcissistic when he keeps on saying that none of this was ever his own fault and easily blames Taran for his failure.
- Unlike the Horned King, he is very much abusive towards the minions even if they mistreat him for the right reasons. In one example, he forced one minion to carry a wagon of skeleton corpses when the wheel was stuck on a gap and he did nothing to even help him. While the Horned King does show his tyranny and betrayal during the third, he is one of the highlights for being the best villain with his charm while Creeper doesn't have any charm to be a good villain at all.
- He somehow stole two of the Horned King's horns which makes no sense when the Black Cauldron consumes his flesh and even his skeleton and just does without explanation.
- He's a pathetic punching-bag especially when he lets the Horned King strangle him for his incompetence even though he does deserve it.
- His voice is annoying because it sounds too grating and stuttery.
