Harold Lloyd Jenkins, better known by his stage name Conway Twitty (born September 1, 1933 in Friars Point, Mississippi; died June 5, 1993 in Springfield, Missouri) was an American country singer. His music has sometimes appeared in the animated sitcom Family Guy through archived footage.

What Makes Him A Scrappy?[]

  • While Seth MacFarlane thought he would be funny, he is considered to be boring padding who isn’t funny. Viewers note that while he might be funny the first few times, he overstayed his welcome rather quickly.
  • In the episode “The Juice is Loose”, he takes up almost three minutes of screen time, which is part of the reason why the episode hasn’t been well-received.
  • In “Bill and Peter’s Bogus Journey”, he appears twice, which makes the padding worse.

Trivia[]

  • His hatedom has been referenced in the show a few times, such as Quagmire remarking he’d be glad not to see him anymore when he thinks he’s getting a spinoff (unaware that Cleveland had been chosen instead). Additionally, he has stopped reappearing in the series.
    • Also, according to God, Conway Twitty himself thinks that the writers should come up with a joke instead of using him.
  • Coincidentally, he bears similarities to Vern and Johnny (who themselves are musicians), though his scenes tend to be longer.
  • Seth MacFarlane is a fan of his music.
  • Ironically, the fact that he appears in "It’s A Trap” as a Sith Lord implies to the audience that he is evil.
