Coconut Fred is the main protagonist of the 2005 television series Coconut Fred Fruit Salad Island. He is a hyperactive coconut and the owner of Fruit Salad Island.
He was voiced by Rob Paulsen.
What Makes Him a Scrappy[]
- He is a SpongeBob ripoff with none of the sponge's positive traits.
- He has a annoying voice that sounds like Carl Wheezer on Meth.
- His design looks creepy and somewhat lazy that looks like a serial killer and his pilot design is even worse.
- His catchphrase "YAY ME!" which is stolen from London Tipton, Is said in every episode making it flat out annoying.
- He is a Gary Stu who is always happy and with no other emotions making him feel flat.
- He is a narcissistic who thinks he is the best person even though most people find him obnoxious in reality.
- He doesn't even care enough about anyone on the island (because he's the one who owns the place) in fact he is a nuisance to everyone and everything on the island.
- He has no character development whatsoever.
- He's immature all the time making even the worst of SpongeBob look like a mature adult by comparison.
- He is super sadistic and mischievous, as he tortures everyone on his island and the worst part is that he gets away in all of this making him a Karma Houdini (along with being a Idiot Houdini for his stupidity).
- Overall, he is a annoying ripoff of SpongeBob who thinks that he is the best and doesn't care enough about the people who live on his island.

- He was added to the Friday Night Funkin mod Mistful Crimson Morning, a SpongeBob related mod where he has his own secret song called "Plagiarize" to make fun of the character for being a SpongeBob ripoff.
- Contrary to popular belief, Rob Paulsen did not hate voicing Fred, as he said to a fan at San Diego Comic-Con that it was just a gig he got paid for, and by no means was he a fan but he was never angry about it.
- Additionally, in a QnA section of the new release of "Voice Lessons", he says he also didn't have any problem with Bubsy.
