Characters who are meant to be sympathetic but came off as unsympathetic due to their actions and/or behavior. Even if they do have a sympathetic backstory, it can be quickly negated when they act in an unrealistic way or do something exceptionally horrible that it turns away the audience or it's brought up at the last moment when it's already too late to redeem them in the eyes of the audience.

Their opposites are Unintentionally Sympathetic Ensemble Dark Horses.
