Casey Ford is a major character in the Season 3 of Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. She's a receptive activist who is not the best to accept other ideas.
She was portrayed by Bex Taylor-Klaus.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- Her main criticism is that she come off as an annoying person from twitter than a respectable activist from real world. Her whole screentime is spent to be a jerk, insulting the football squad and interrupting a funeral (even if it was for an awful guy) and she constantly goes against everyone who doesn't agree with her extreme views.
- She's also seen as stereotype and a bad portrayal of activism.
- Despite her being friends with Jessica, viewers found no chemistry between them, mostly from the scene where she got angry towards the latter for getting back with Justin. While is a big debate if Jessica was right in doing so, it is agreed upon that Casey could have handled the thing in a better way.
- While she learned the lesson at the end of the season, she never appeared later and was completely forgot, which made hard for the viewers to actually accept her redemption.
