Brian Crown, better known as The Blue Falcon, is the tritagonist of the 2020 Warner Bros. animated film SCOOB!. He is the current beholder of the Blue Falcon mantle, taking over from his father (who is retired) and recruits Shaggy and Scooby to stop Dick Dastardly from stealing the three skulls of Cerberus.
He was voiced by Mark Wahlberg,
What Makes Him A Scrappy?[]
- One of the major reasons of his unpopularity is that he effectively replaces Fred, Daphne and Velma as the tritagonist of the movie and, despite being promoted as a Scooby-Doo movie, is basically a disguised Blue Falcon movie with the Mystery Inc. gang being important characters, since it lacks the mysteries that made the franchise so iconic and is mostly a superhero movie starring Blue Falcon with the main villain being Dick Dastardly.
- While the overall idea wasn't popular among Scooby-Doo fans, the new takes on Dynomutt and Dick Dastardly were to some degree well-received by audiences even if they took way too much screentime, Brian didn't have the same luck and was seen by fans of the original Blue Falcon as a poor take on the character, the writers probably predicted this as he's quickly stated to be the son of the original Blue Falcon rather than the original one.
- Unlike his father, he's a complete manchild who takes everything in his surroundings as a joke even when he is in a world-ending crisis; he has a deep sense of self-importance and is often very condescending and for most of the movie. He seems more interested in presuming how awesome he is in than actually doing something useful.
- He seems to constantly take Dynomutt for granted and doesn't consider what he has to say much despite having much more experience in the camp that he does, he's very offended when Brian dresses Scooby in his own clothes.
- He's also seen as poor attempt of making the Blue Falcon hipper and cooler for younger audiences, he does things like dabbing and asking in his social media if someone knows about the location of the skulls.
- The brief moment at the end where he feels like a poor superhero is very hard to feel sad for considering how condescending he has been for the whole movie.
