Becky is a recurring character of the Nickelodeon animated television series The Casagrandes. She is an occasional arch-rival of Ronnie Anne and has played an antagonistic role in some episodes.
She is voice by Abby Trott.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- A common criticism towards her character is that her characterization cane be inconsistent. Sometimes she's a ruthless bully who likes to torment Ronnie Anne and her friends, and other times she's a good friend of the gang who has no problem helping them out. This made confusing for the audience to know what they’re supposed to think about her.
- Many fans don’t like how she often doesn’t face comeuppance for her actions.
- A particular example is the episode "Gossipy Girl" where, after the Skating Team's secrets are leaked to the school, she sets up a mock wedding for Ronnie Anne and Artemis (a boy she's said to have a crush on), completely humiliating her in front of her peers and making her run off in tears. This is considered by many to be one of the cruelest actions in either this show and The Loud House (something no other bully from either series, not even Chandler himself, has ever done). Another criticism towards the scene is that it is forgotten by the episode after it happened. This action soured fan opinion of her.
- The closest thing to karma she's ever gotten is in the episode "Throwing Pains", where she loses a game of dodgeball for her girlfriend Dodge and her team, and have to endure the cold weather themselves. Many fans though feel this isn't enough, since she’s able to handle the cold while her friends are left suffering, but the punishment is completely undone and she learns nothing from it (even her girlfriend apologized to Ronnie Anne for her harsh actions).
- Like Sergio, many viewers disliked how she tends to be the cause of some of the shows' conflicts. An example is the episode "A Very Casagrandes Christmas", where she and her brother Ricky are responsible for blocking off the exit to the supermarket, leaving Ronnie Anne, Bobby and their father Arturo, completely snowed in.
- The show tries portray her antics as comedic, but many fans consider them as obnoxious and overly harsh. Especially since her inconsistent writing makes it questionable on whether she's meant to be a Hate Sink or a comic relief.
- She comes across as a more despicable, one-dimensional version of Lynn Loud. Because while Lynn is a rather controversial character herself, she still has fans who like her for funny and relatable moments and some character development, as well as thinking she’s a good character tainted by bad episodes, while Becky doesn’t have many defenders.
