Batman is one of the two titular protagonists, alongside Sherlock Holmes, of the 2012 Epic Rap Battles of History episode "Batman vs Sherlock Holmes". The battle features Batman and Robin engaging in a rap battle against Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
He was portrayed by Nice Peter.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- He is a gross mischaracterization of Batman. He displays none of the character's high intelligence or subtle dry wit, instead coming across as a dumb jock which infuriated fans of the comic book character.
- His voice, which is based on Christian Bale's portrayal of the character in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, is extremely grating to listen to for many fans.
- He has few good disses against Holmes besides his line about Holmes dying a drug addict, and even that is debatable. This means that Sherlock pretty much curb stomps him.
- He has very mediocre flow compared to Sherlock's and especially Robin's.
Trivia[]
- The portrayal received such a huge backlash in the fandom that the creators acknowledged that they did a poor job portraying the character. In "Nice Peter vs EpicLLOYD 2", Lloyd insults Peter, the actor of ERB's Batman, by saying "Like, dude, that is not a cool way to play Batman!"
- He, alongside ERBOH's Eve and Adam, are the only said work to have the Scrappy status.
- He and Frank Miller's All Star Batman version of Batman are the only Batman Scrappies.
