Baby Shelby is a major antagonist in Mickey Mouse Works and House of Mouse.
He was voiced by Jeff Bennett, who also voiced Bendy in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- His laugh is very annoying.
- He is a huge rip-off of various screwball cartoon characters of such as Screwy Squirrel from the Tex Avery MGM Cartoons, both Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck from Looney Tunes, Terrytoons' Heckle and Jeckle, Walter Lantz's Woody Woodpecker, DePatie-Freleng's The Pink Panther, both Buster and Babs Bunny and Gogo Dodo from Tiny Toon Adventures, both the Warner siblings ( Yakko, Wakko and Dot ) and Slappy Squirrel from Animaniacs and Disney's own Aracuan Bird from The Three Caballeros, but with none of the charm or likeability those screwball characters had. In fact, his personality is a mean-sprited hybrid of all these screwball tricksters combined. Not only that, but he's also a sadistic rip-off of Yoyo Dodo from the Looney Tunes short "Porky in Wackyland", but with none of the charm, likeability or humor the Dodo had.
- He terrorizes Donald Duck and has also terrorized Mickey as well. For example, he caused Donald Duck to be sucked inside a vacuum cleaner.
- He's essentially a Disney version of Jerry Mouse from the Gene Deitch era of Tom and Jerry, due to his sadistic behaviour towards Donald and Mickey.
- He's a Karma Houdini, because his mother doesn't discipline him after he behaves badly. Donald did (accidentally) scare him by dressing as a clown, but that was about it.
- Even when Donald successfully babysits him, it's only a matter of time before he has to do so another day. So, he continues to be tormented.
