~ Means's recurring mindset. |
Aristotle Means is a major antagonist of Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies.
He is a highly successful teacher for Themis Legal Academy, serving as the teacher for future defense attorneys. Due to his belief that "the ends justify the means", Means has been corrupting his students and accepting bribes, leading to a rapid increase of amoral attorneys and corruption. When his coworker, Constance Courte, learns of this, Means kills her and tries to frame Juniper Woods.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
- He has little personality or characterization outside of repeatedly telling people around him that "the ends justifies the means," even after he is exposed as the culprit, which becomes predictable and annoyed the players after a while.
- He is considered an obvious culprit who is easy to identify as the killer, since he tends to repeat his ideology, which the game had already made clear is bad prior to Means's introduction, and he was known to have had a rivalry with Courte.
- Although the game attempts to portray him as an intimidating and dangerous villain, his constant monologues and bizarre quirks make it difficult for the players to take him seriously.
