Allyson Nelson is one of the main protagonists of the Halloween franchise, serving as a deuteragonist in Halloween (2018) and Halloween Ends as well as the main protagonist of Halloween Kills.
What Makes Her a Scrappy?[]
- While Allyson was a genuinely likeable character in Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends completely flandarizes her character which makes the audience feel like this is a completely different character.
- Allyson ignoring Laurie's valid warnings that her new boyfriend, Corey Cunningham, is dangerous is not only infuriating to watch but also feels out of character given how Allyson previously saw through how Sartain's obsession with Michael in the 2018 film.
- Many people also hate how Allyson blames Laurie for the events of the previous films, including her mother's deaths, and also blaming Laurie for killing Corey (though in reality, Corey faked his death and framed Laurie for it).
- Compared to the action survivor who played a major role in confronting Michael in the previous film, Allyson instead takes a far less proactive role in Michael's defeat, much to the annoyance of the audience.
- Allyson's bratty teenage daughter act towards Laurie's shellshock is jarring when you remember how Allyson was one of the only people who comforted Laurie in the 2018 film.
- Because Halloween Ends is the final film of the franchise, this means that there isn't going to be a chance for Allyson's character to be rescued from the scrappy heap as her jerkass realization comes too little, too late for several fans.
