Allen Gregory is the titular main protagonist of the animated show Allen Gregory, which aired on FOX but only lasted 7 episodes before being cancelled. He is the son of Richard De Longpre and is an obnoxious, spoiled child who is forced to enroll at regular school and finds himself out of his depth.
He was voiced by series creator Jonah Hill.
What Makes Him a Scrappy?[]
He's an arrogant and spoiled child who treats everyone with contempt, yet the audience is meant to sympathize with him when anything bad happens.
He's meant to be seen as precocious, but there's no evidence that he's that smart.
He throws childish tantrums when he doesn't get his way.
He regularly insults and abuses his sister Julie even when she's trying to help him.
He disrespects and talks down to his teacher and insists that he's above her in terms of authority.
He has a crush on his 78-year old principal, which is played for laughs despite it being disgusting.
He falsely claims to have a sex tape of himself and his principal, which gets her into trouble.
He manipulates his friend Patrick into doing him favors and doesn't treat him that well.
He regularly fails to learn anything and suffers no long-term consequences for his appalling behavior.
He was apparently designed to be funny and somebody one could root for, but he doesn’t come across as being funny at all.
