The Ace Savvy Convention Judges are minor characters in The Loud House, only appearing in the titular controversial half-hour episode "Kings of the Con". They are the judges of the "Kings of the Con" contest, in which the winner would get to appear as a cameo in a new Ace Savvy movie.
The Male judge is voiced by Eric Bauza, who also voiced Allegro in the 2016 Powerpuff Girls reboot, and the Female judge is voiced by Betsy Sodaro.
What Makes Them Scrappies?[]
- The episode attempts to make them seem like reasonable authorities who are only doing their jobs. However, they come across as rather biased towards the Loud Sisters to most fans, favoring them unfairly over any other contestant, especially Lincoln and Clyde.
- Not to mention that they were technically taking away credit from them for the creation of the Full House Gang. Meaning that Lincoln and Clyde had every right to be annoyed they were brushing them off. This in turn, makes most fans sympathize with the boys despite their actions in the episode.
- They come across as very irresponsible and negligent, since they not only leave The Kitty (a pretty controversial character in his own right) completely unsupervised, allowing Lincoln and Clyde to kidnap him, but completely brush off the fact that said kitty was practically attempting to kill the boys.
- In the end, after disqualifying the boys, they offer Lincoln and Clyde to appear in the movie as the Kitty's poop scoopers. The episode attempts to portray this as karma for having kidnapped the Kitty, but it kind of falls flat since not only did Lincoln and Clyde already suffer punishment enough by everything the Kitty himself made them go through, but they wouldn't have done such a thing in the first place had they given them a fair chance from the start. In turn, for most viewer the punishment comes off as rubbing salt on an open wound, since they would be basically humiliating Lincoln and Clyde more than they already were.
- There's also mere fact that they were trying to choose the Loud Sisters over Lincoln and Clyde, despite the fact that, because they came to the convention together and were planning to win the movie cameos together, they were all technically on the same team. Meaning that they were pinning the Loud Siblings against each other for nothing, making their behavior even more unfair.
- Overall, they are one of the reasons why Kings of the Con is such a controversial episode, and as a result, part of the reason Ace Savvy as slowly fazed out of the show in recent seasons.
Trivia[]
- They're one of nine characters in The Loud House to be considered scrappies, along with the Morticians Club, Buzz, Sergio and Becky.
- Also, considering their lack of supernatural qualities (like Buzz or Sergio) or superhuman qualities (like the Morticians Club or Becky), that would make them the most normal scrappies in The Loud House.
